EigenLayer's native token (EIGEN) is now transferrable and has been trading at a fully diluted value of TK TK TK on perpetual exchange Hyperliquid.

The restaking protocol will unlock 1.67 billion tokens at 9 p.m. PST on Monday.

Eigen Labs circulated a list of team members' wallet addresses to EigenLayer ecosystem projects that were preparing to issue tokens. The firm later banned the practice, citing potential conflicts of interest.

The news set off a debate on the social-media platform X about whether advising the EigenFoundation might constitute a conflict of interest – given the flagged risks to Ethereum from restaking protocol EigenLayer.

Justin Ðrake disclosed his advisory role with EigenFoundation, which comes with a significant EIGEN token incentive.

Some 45% of the EIGEN token supply will go towards the EigenLayer community, while investors will be allocated 29.5% of the token supply, and 25.5% will go towards early contributors.
