XRP Commands 22% Trading Volume Share on South Korea’s Upbit Exchange

XRP has emerged as the dominant trading asset on South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, accounting for 22.17% of the platform’s total trading volume during recent activity.

This substantial market presence was recorded amid $4.2 billion in 24-hour trading volume, with the XRP/KRW pair driving nearly a quarter of all transactions. The Korean won-based trading pair significantly outpaced other major cryptocurrencies on the platform, highlighting XRP’s entrenched position in the local market.

Other notable cryptocurrencies featured in Upbit’s trading activity include Ethereum (ETH), BONK, Bitcoin (BTC), and Dogecoin (DOGE). The exchange continues to serve as a cornerstone of South Korea’s digital asset ecosystem by providing robust liquidity and facilitating diverse market participation.

Upbit’s pivotal role in the regional cryptocurrency landscape underscores its importance as a barometer for retail and institutional engagement with digital assets, particularly through Korean won-denominated trading pairs.
