Bo Hines has resigned from his position on the White House Crypto Council, stepping down to return to the private sector.
His expected successor is Patrick Witt, who currently serves as deputy director of the Council.
During his tenure, Hines worked closely with David Sacks to position the United States as a leader in the cryptocurrency space. His contributions prominently included advancing U.S. crypto policy alongside developing key regulatory frameworks.
Notably, Hines was an advocate for Bitcoin accumulation, proposing budget-neutral strategies for the U.S. government to acquire BTC.
His departure shifts attention to the future direction of the White House Crypto Council and U.S. crypto policy, with Witt poised to lead.
