Vietnam has introduced NDAChain, a permissioned layer-1 blockchain designed to bolster national digital infrastructure through decentralized technologies. Developed by the National Data Association and managed by the Ministry of Public Security, the platform aims to enhance cybersecurity resilience, scalability, and interoperability across Vietnamese digital services.
The network operates with 49 validator nodes jointly managed by state entities and private sector partners including SunGroup and Zalo, maintaining a distributed ledger structure. Its security core features a Proof-of-Authority consensus mechanism augmented by zero-knowledge proofs to optimize transaction efficiency while safeguarding sensitive data.
A cornerstone innovation is the NDA DID system, a decentralized identity solution enabling rapid counterparty authentication and service access verification. The platform’s hybrid governance model strategically balances regulatory oversight with decentralization principles to support critical sectors including e-government services, financial applications, and healthcare solutions.
