Tom Lee Points to Strategy’s $2.46B Bitcoin Purchase as Bullish Signal, Sees $250K BTC and Vital Ethereum Role

Investor Strategy has significantly expanded its Bitcoin reserves, acquiring 21,021 BTC for $2.46 billion. This strategic move boosts Strategy’s total holdings to 628,791 Bitcoins, valued at approximately $74.2 billion based on current valuations.

Prominent analyst Tom Lee interpreted the large-scale purchase as a powerful vote of confidence in Bitcoin’s long-term value proposition. Lee maintained that this acquisition supports his earlier forecast of Bitcoin potentially reaching $250,000 in 2024. He further projected an extended-term outlook for Bitcoin, suggesting it could surge to between $2 million and $3 million per coin if its network value eclipses that of gold.

Beyond Bitcoin, Lee identified Ethereum as critical infrastructure for future blockchain adoption, calling it “probably the most important macro trade for the next decade.” He emphasized Ethereum’s growing utility and expanding real-world applications as foundational drivers fueling its long-term significance.

Market data indicates Bitcoin currently trades near $118,276 per coin, with Ethereum priced around $3,794.
