Strategy has ascended to rank as the ninth largest corporate treasury in the United States after accumulating Bitcoin holdings valued at over $70 billion. This positions it ahead of technology leader NVIDIA and signals a transformative shift in corporate asset management through cryptocurrency integration.
The company currently holds more than 601,550 Bitcoins, acquired at an average price of $71,268 per BTC. This strategic accumulation has generated nearly $30 billion in unrealized gains, distinguishing Strategy from traditional corporate treasuries that focus on cash or conventional equivalents.
Strategy’s treasury now consists exclusively of Bitcoin, including a recent acquisition of 7,000 BTC worth $472.5 million. Globally, only entities such as Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto and asset management firm BlackRock hold larger Bitcoin reserves than the company.
Since transitioning its treasury reserves to Bitcoin in August 2020, Strategy’s stock (MSTR) has demonstrated substantial growth. This trajectory reflects increasing corporate interest in cryptocurrency as a viable treasury asset class.
