Semler Scientific has significantly increased its Bitcoin treasury reserves, now holding 4,846 BTC valued at $577.9 million following strategic acquisitions. The medical technology company executed its latest purchase of 210 BTC between early and mid-July, allocating $25 million from its at-the-market offering program towards the transactions.
This accumulation brings the company’s total Bitcoin investment cost to nearly $455 million since inception, with an average acquisition price of $93,890 per BTC. Current holdings reflect substantial unrealized gains relative to the aggregate purchase value.
Concurrently, Semler Scientific unveiled BTC Yield as an innovative internal performance metric for evaluating Bitcoin investment returns. Year-to-date measurements show a 30.3% BTC Yield as of mid-July, demonstrating robust portfolio growth.
The dual strategy underscores disciplined capital deployment in volatile asset markets while establishing transparent benchmarks for cryptocurrency performance evaluation. This approach aims to provide shareholders greater clarity on the company’s digital asset allocation decisions.
