The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Crypto Task Force, led by Commissioner Hester Peirce, has initiated a series of 10 nationwide roundtables to gather industry perspectives for crafting transparent cryptocurrency regulations.
The sessions, running through late 2025 across the United States, aim to foster direct collaboration between regulators and crypto stakeholders. SEC Chairman Paul Atkins emphasized replacing ‘shoot first, ask questions later’ regulatory tactics with a measured framework that encourages innovation while addressing emerging challenges in domains including tokenization and decentralized finance (DeFi).
Roundtable outcomes may influence future regulatory approaches toward major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). This initiative expands on earlier Task Force engagement efforts, seeking to enhance market confidence and investor trust through inclusive policy development.
