Robinhood has expanded its platform by introducing Ethereum and Solana staking services for US customers, dramatically lowering participation barriers with a $1 minimum entry threshold. The brokerage utilizes batch-processing technology to aggregate user funds, enabling retail investors to collectively meet Ethereum’s 32 ETH validator requirement through pooled stakes.
The service streamlines Solana staking through backend infrastructure, eliminating technical complexities for users seeking to participate in the proof-of-stake ecosystem. Starting October 2025, Robinhood will implement a 25% commission fee on staking rewards for residents of California, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Wisconsin.
This initiative aims to enhance accessibility to decentralized finance networks while optimizing validator performance. By lowering participation barriers, Robinhood seeks to encourage broader network decentralization and security across both Ethereum and Solana ecosystems.
