Robinhood Launches Ethereum and Solana Staking Services in US, Charges 25% Fee on Rewards

Robinhood has expanded its cryptocurrency offerings by introducing Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) staking services to retail investors across the United States.

With a minimum requirement of just $1, the trading platform aims to make staking accessible to users previously deterred by complexity or capital constraints. This entry threshold is among the lowest in the industry.

Notably, Robinhood imposes a 25% fee on staking rewards earned through its service. This fee structure may reduce net investor returns compared to alternative staking platforms with lower or no commission rates.

The expansion is expected to enhance network security and liquidity for both Ethereum and Solana blockchains through greater participation. Such ecosystem benefits could accelerate broader adoption of decentralized protocols.

The rollout aligns with evolving regulatory frameworks, with Robinhood emphasizing transparency about its fee schedule. Company representatives suggest this disclosure builds trust among users while navigating legal developments.
