Ripple Moves Swell Conference to New York, Signaling Institutional Blockchain Focus

Ripple’s flagship annual event, Swell, is set for November 4-5 in New York City. This move from its traditional San Francisco location is seen as a strategic step to deepen engagement with global financial institutions.

The conference will feature prominent industry figures Sandy Kaul, Head of Digital Asset & Industry Advisory Services at Franklin Templeton, and Ryan Rugg, Global Head of Digital Assets at Citibank Digital Assets. Their participation highlights the growing institutional endorsement of Ripple’s blockchain technology solutions for financial services.

Since its inception in 2017, Swell has evolved into a globally recognized forum for enterprise blockchain. Previous gatherings occurred in cities including Dubai and Miami, reflecting Ripple’s expanding international footprint.

Bolstering the event’s significance, Ripple enters the year following a resolution of its years-long legal dispute with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the achievement of a $1.25 billion milestone. These developments have significantly strengthened investor confidence in both the company and its associated digital asset.

The 2025 gathering is widely anticipated as a key indicator for Ripple’s forward strategy and the evolving role of its technology, particularly concerning cross-border payments and digital asset liquidity solutions for institutional players.
