Remixpoint CEO To Receive Salary in Bitcoin Aligning with Corporate Treasury Strategy

Remixpoint Inc. CEO Takashi Tashiro will begin receiving his salary in Bitcoin, marking a significant step in the company’s ongoing strategy to integrate cryptocurrencies. Tashiro’s compensation will continue to be calculated in Japanese yen but will be converted to Bitcoin based on the market price at the time of payment.

This decision aligns with Remixpoint’s stated shareholder-oriented management philosophy and mirrors its substantial diversification into digital assets. The company’s extensive cryptocurrency treasury holdings reportedly exceed $116 million, comprised of over 1,051 BTC, 901 ETH, 13,920 SOL, 1.19 million XRP, and 2.8 million DOGE.

Beyond Remixpoint, Takashi Tashiro also oversees BITPoint Japan, a regulated cryptocurrency exchange in the company’s portfolio. BITPoint facilitates access to a range of digital assets, including niche offerings like the Official Trump (TRUMP) memecoin, underscoring the dynamic nature of Japan’s crypto landscape.

The personal choice by Tashiro reflects a growing global trend among executives and public figures, such as Argo Blockchain’s former executive chairman Peter Wall and American NFL player Russell Okung, opting for compensation paid in cryptocurrency.

Remixpoint’s move to pay its CEO in Bitcoin signifies the accelerating normalization of digital assets within corporate finance structures, pushing forward despite the inherent market fluctuations and regulatory hurdles the sector faces.
