Nubit Launches Bitcoin Alpha Mission with 10x Bonus to Drive Lightning Network Growth

Nubit has officially launched its Bitcoin Alpha mission system, introducing a 10x multiplier bonus incentive to stimulate participation within the Bitcoin ecosystem. This initiative comes as the Bitcoin Lightning Network demonstrates significant technical progress and adoption.

The Alpha mission is designed to boost ecosystem growth. Over 50 projects have already applied to participate in its initial phase, aiming to leverage the network’s enhanced payment speed made possible by recent upgrades.

Key advancements powering this growth include a reported mainnet soft fork upgrade to the Lightning Network. Banking giant HSBC disclosed details of this upgrade, noting the implementation of features like UTXO Bundling and the OP_CAT instruction set. These technical enhancements are claimed to improve network efficiency by orders of magnitude, potentially reaching up to 2000 times greater throughput in specific scenarios.

Further driving user engagement, the Lightning Network recently integrated the USD1 stablecoin, issued by WLFI. This stablecoin, which boasts over 4 million on-chain transactions and 250,000 users, expands the utility and potential payment use cases on the network.

According to reports, these critical upgrades resulted from collaborative efforts involving early Bitcoin miners, core network developers, and the Nubit team, positioning the Alpha launch and future development on a robust technological foundation.
