1. The XRPL EVM Sidechain is now live on mainnet, developed by Peersyst Technology in collaboration with RippleX, offering EVM compatibility for decentralized applications (dApps).

2. The sidechain uses Proof-of-Authority (PoA) consensus and the Cosmos SDK, allowing wrapped XRP (eXRP) to be used as a gas token for EVM-compatible applications.

3. Axelar Bridge facilitates seamless asset transfers between the XRPL mainnet and EVM sidechain, supporting over 55 blockchains with decentralized infrastructure.

4. During the testnet phase, the sidechain processed over 280,000 daily transactions, with participation from 87 teams, indicating strong developer interest.

5. Future enhancements like Smart Escrows and native Extensions are planned for 2025, with the XLS-38 proposal still under review.
