A woman in British Columbia recently lost CA$60,000 after being targeted in an elaborate “bank courier” scam. In May, a scammer called the victim, 68, pretending to represent her bank and claiming that her cards had been compromised, per a press release from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
