Michael Saylor Uses Indiana Jones Meme to Champion Bitcoin Over Gold

MicroStrategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor has leveraged a viral pop culture moment to underscore his belief in Bitcoin’s superiority over traditional assets like gold.

Saylor shared an AI-generated image depicting himself as the adventurer Indiana Jones, captioned with the line: ‘I went looking for gold… and found something better.’ This visual metaphor clearly positions Bitcoin as the superior modern store of value compared to the precious metal.

The advocacy comes backed by his company’s substantial investment. MicroStrategy, under Saylor’s leadership, remains the largest public corporate holder of Bitcoin, possessing 628,791 BTC. This massive holding is currently valued at over $71 billion.

This commitment was further demonstrated earlier this year with MicroStrategy’s significant acquisition of an additional 21,021 BTC, purchased for approximately $2.46 billion. Saylor’s consistent message through both imagery and corporate action reinforces his view of Bitcoin as a foundational asset.
