GOAT Network has launched its BitVM2 Beta, pioneering the first zero-knowledge rollup built natively on Bitcoin. The solution achieves proof generation times under three seconds while providing Bitcoin-denominated yield, marking a technological leap for Bitcoin Layer 2 scaling.
This GPU-powered infrastructure processes blocks and generates Groth16 zero-knowledge proofs simultaneously, significantly accelerating transaction verification. Unlike sidechain approaches, BitVM2 settles disputes directly via Bitcoin miners, maintaining the network’s foundational security model.
Central to the offering is Bitcoin-denominated yield generated from Bitcoin gas fees, addressing strong community demand for BTC-based returns. Security architecture features decentralized sequencers, trustless bridges with Optimistic Challenge Processes, and zk-proof validation to prevent invalid transactions.
GOAT Network previously announced plans to publicly release BitVM2 ZK Rollups before the conclusion of 2024, positioning the solution as a cornerstone for scalable Bitcoin ecosystem expansion.
