GameSquare has committed significantly more capital to cryptocurrency assets and forged new strategic partnerships to deepen its involvement in the crypto market.
The company executed a major Ethereum acquisition, purchasing approximately 8,351 ETH at an average price of $3,592 per token. This investment totaled around $30 million.
Combined with existing holdings, GameSquare now possesses approximately 10,170.74 Ethereum tokens. The total cost for this accumulated ETH position stands at $35 million.
Simultaneously, the company’s Board has authorized the implementation of a new non-fungible token (NFT) revenue model. An initial budget allocation of $10 million has been approved for this initiative.
Further cementing its commitment, GameSquare has established partnerships with key industry figures, including Ryan Zurrer from investment firm Dialectic and Rhydon.
The scale of GameSquare’s digital asset ambitions is evident in its treasury management adjustments. The treasury allocation dedicated specifically to cryptocurrency assets has increased substantially from an initial $100 million to $250 million.
