A prominent Ethereum investor, commonly referred to as a whale, liquidated a substantial portion of its holdings while retaining a significant stake in the cryptocurrency.
According to blockchain data tracking, the whale sold 3,459 ETH in a single transaction, with the assets valued at approximately $12.58 million USD at the time of the sale.
This disposal resulted in an estimated realized loss of $35,000 for the investor. Despite this loss, the whale maintained a large position, holding onto a notable quantity of Ethereum even after completing the transaction.
The move involved a sale of over 3 million dollars’ worth of assets incurred within the Ethereum ecosystem.
