A significant holder, or ‘whale’, has executed the sale of over 5,500 Ethereum (ETH), liquidating holdings worth approximately $20 million after accumulating the cryptocurrency starting in late 2024.
Blockchain analyst Ai Yi tracked two major transactions executed by the whale, totaling 3,810.76 ETH. These sales generated approximately $13.92 million in proceeds.
Based on the average acquisition prices of the ETH sold in these transactions – $2,940 and $2,977 per token – the whale realized an estimated profit of $2.693 million.
The wallets associated with this activity had been steadily accumulating ETH from October 2024 through June 2025.
In total, the entity disposed of a cumulative 5,540.76 ETH across various trading platforms, translating to roughly $20.09 million at the time of sale.
