Ethereum Layer 2 TVL Surges Past $36 Billion, Arbitrum Leads Growth

The Ethereum Layer 2 ecosystem has experienced significant expansion, with its total value locked (TVL) climbing to $36.39 billion. This represents a notable 10.1% increase over the past week.

Arbitrum One remains the dominant player within the scaling landscape, boasting a TVL of $15.59 billion. Its growth mirrored the overall ecosystem surge, also registering a 10.1% weekly increase.

Base demonstrated strong momentum, achieving an 8.11% rise to reach $13.3 billion in locked assets. Other notable Layer 2 networks also posted gains: OP Mainnet grew 7.44% to $1.29 billion, Unichain increased 5.56% to $1.2 billion, and ZKsync Era saw a significant 10.3% jump to $1.08 billion.

This collective growth underscores the accelerating adoption of Layer 2 solutions as users seek faster and more cost-effective alternatives to the Ethereum mainnet.
