Dormant Bitcoin Whale Transfers 30,010 BTC to Galaxy Digital in Single Day

A significant Bitcoin transaction has drawn attention within the cryptocurrency community after a long-inactive whale executed substantial transfers involving Galaxy Digital Holdings Inc.

The whale, identified as holding approximately 80,000 BTC untouched for 14 years, moved 30,010 BTC to the prominent digital asset and financial services firm in a single day. Within a remarkably brief 22-minute window, a subset of this transfer – 1,410 BTC – was also sent to Galaxy Digital.

Blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence reported the activity, highlighting the size of the transfers originating from the dormant wallet. Such large transfers from previously inactive addresses, especially to major institutional entities like Galaxy Digital, often prompt analysis regarding possible motivations including potential sale, reorganization, or leveraging institutional services.

The movement of such a significant portion of the whale’s multi-billion dollar holdings immediately impacts market liquidity and can be interpreted as a notable event by market observers.
