XRP Ledger Hits 3.3 Billion Transactions and 6 Million Wallets Amid Ecosystem Expansion

The XRP Ledger (XRPL) has processed over 3.3 billion transactions and surpassed 6 million active wallets, demonstrating substantial growth in network adoption and user activity. This milestone coincides with the ledger’s market capitalization exceeding $130 billion, reflecting strong investor confidence in the ecosystem.

Ripple announced the upcoming launch of an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible sidechain for XRPL, enabling support for Ethereum-based decentralized applications and smart contracts. The testnet phase attracted 87 new contributors, signaling developer interest in the expansion.

In a major institutional move, Ripple partnered with Guggenheim Treasury Services to tokenize over $120 million in real-world assets (RWAs). The tokenized portfolio includes Prime-1 rated digital commercial papers backed by U.S. Treasuries.

Further strengthening blockchain infrastructure, Ripple committed over $5 million to academic initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region through its University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), supporting research and education development.
