Nationwide ‘No Kings Day’ Protests Target Trump’s $45M Military Parade Amid Overreach Concerns

Former President Donald Trump’s planned $45 million military parade on June 14 has triggered widespread opposition from progressive groups, who are organizing ‘No Kings Day’ protests against perceived executive overreach. The event coincides with the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary, Trump’s 79th birthday, and national Flag Day observances.

Organizations including the ACLU, American Federation of Teachers, and Planned Parenthood are coordinating demonstrations across more than 2,000 U.S. locations. Protest planners project turnout will exceed the 3.5 million participants recorded during April’s ‘Hands Off’ rallies, signaling heightened public tensions surrounding the event.

The Pentagon-confirmed $45 million parade will feature artillery displays, troop processions, and fireworks. Authorities are preparing substantial security deployments to manage anticipated protests, citing concerns over civic unrest stemming from the controversial celebration.
