Elon Musk has notably altered his public position toward former President Donald Trump, deleting critical social media posts and endorsing Trump-era policies during ongoing civil unrest in California and national immigration debates. The tech billionaire removed provocative tweets targeting Trump, including past calls for impeachment and unsubstantiated claims linking Trump to Jeffrey Epstein-related documents.
Musk publicly supported Trump’s firm approach to handling civil disturbances in Los Angeles, while endorsing Vice President J.D. Vance’s message condemning violence. He also retweeted Trump’s criticisms of California officials Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass as local tensions escalated.
In a further sign of alignment, Musk re-followed Stephen Miller, a principal architect of Trump’s immigration agenda, reversing a previous unfollowing. Despite these reconciliatory gestures, Musk maintains opposition to Trump’s recent domestic policy legislation currently pending Senate consideration.
