DogeOS and PlaysOut have partnered to launch approximately 15 casual mini-games that reward players with Dogecoin (DOGE) and Doginals-based assets. This initiative seeks to foster deeper engagement within the Dogecoin ecosystem by integrating play-to-earn mechanics and tradable digital collectibles.
The games will be accessible through the MyDoge wallet and PlaysOut’s mobile application initially, with plans to expand distribution to additional platforms. Core gameplay features include competitive leaderboards, quest systems, tournaments, and periodic DOGE token airdrops, alongside tradable Doginals—non-fungible tokens native to the Dogecoin blockchain.
DogeOS, serving as an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible layer-2 scaling solution atop the Dogecoin blockchain, remains in its testnet phase. The technology aims to streamline interactions between players and decentralized gaming mechanics within the Dogecoin network.
PlaysOut is actively pursuing licensing agreements to embed recognisable global intellectual properties into the gaming portfolio, having targeted its first partnership announcement for the latter part of last year. The collaboration ultimately strives to evolve Dogecoin beyond its meme origins into a functional intellectual property with tangible utility in casual gaming ecosystems.
