The Canadian Creator Cooperative has officially unveiled Coop Network, a novel Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain solution designed specifically for creator collectives and organizations.
Key features of Coop Network include built-in MEV (Maximal Extractable Value) resistance to shield cooperative members from exploitative trading practices and a unique “1 person = 1 govern node” consensus mechanism ensuring equitable governance power distribution among participants.
The network will maintain compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), facilitating seamless integration with the broader Ethereum ecosystem and existing developer tools. Managing proposal funding will leverage quadratic voting systems, aiming to democratize allocation decisions within the cooperative structure.
To balance transparency needs with user privacy, Coop Network will utilize zero-knowledge proofs for confidential transactions, while ensuring clear visibility and auditability for critical governance processes.
The cooperative stated the primary goal of Coop Network is to furnish creator communities with dedicated blockchain infrastructure, fundamentally grounded in principles of fairness and cooperative ownership.
