Chainlink has deployed its State Pricing oracle method on mainnet, introducing a novel approach to improve pricing precision for long-tail cryptocurrency assets across decentralized exchanges (DEXs). The solution leverages both on-chain liquidity and centralized exchange volume data to reduce slippage and enhance market efficiency within DeFi environments.
The system operates through two distinct oracle delivery models: Chainlink Data Feeds provide push-based continuous price updates, while Chainlink Data Streams enable developers to access pull-based on-demand pricing. Initial asset support includes wstETH, GHO, LBTC, cbBTC, ezETH, and tBTC, with plans for further expansion.
This innovation specifically addresses pricing reliability challenges for illiquid and niche digital assets, supporting broader DeFi adoption. Developers now gain on-demand access to State Pricing data, enabling flexible integration of real-time market information into decentralized finance strategies.
