Cardano will undergo an enhanced transparency initiative with a comprehensive audit report set for release in mid-August. This report aims to provide increased accountability, allowing users to independently verify the project’s progress claims and track its significant historical milestones.
Complementing this transparency effort, Cardano’s developer, Input Output Engineering (IO), has outlined a strategic roadmap for 2025-2026. The plan prioritizes three core pillars: scalability, usability, and interoperability.
Key projects driving this roadmap include Hydra v1.0 and Leios for scaling transaction throughput, Mithril for enhanced security and efficient node bootstrapping, and ongoing developments to Plutus, its smart contract platform. Improvements like Babel fees are also planned to aid user transaction management.
Crucially for interoperability, Cardano is actively pursuing integration with the Bitcoin Lightning Network. This move is designed to significantly boost connectivity across different blockchain ecosystems.
The roadmap underscores community-driven development as a fundamental strategy for Cardano’s continued growth and evolution.
