Bybit Launches Hybrid DEX Byreal on Solana to Merge CEX Liquidity with DeFi Transparency

Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has introduced Byreal, a decentralized exchange built on the Solana blockchain that combines centralized exchange liquidity pools with decentralized finance transparency. This hybrid model aims to enhance trading efficiency while addressing common DeFi limitations.

Byreal integrates Request for Quote (RFQ) technology alongside Concentrated Liquidity Market Maker (CLMM) mechanisms to improve price discovery and capital efficiency. The platform specifically targets liquidity fragmentation and slow transaction speeds by leveraging centralized exchange infrastructure strengths within a decentralized framework.

The launch triggered immediate market impact, with Solana’s native SOL token rising 7% following the announcement. This price movement reflects increased investor confidence in Solana’s DeFi ecosystem capabilities.

Bybit CEO Ben Zhou emphasized the platform’s innovative approach, stating: ‘Byreal isn’t just another DEX – it represents a hybrid model merging CEX liquidity with DeFi transparency.’ The exchange anticipates Byreal will attract significant users and liquidity to Solana, potentially cementing its position as a leading Layer-1 blockchain for decentralized finance applications.
