BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum ETF Hits $10 Billion AUM Milestone in 251 Days

BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum ETF (ETHA) has achieved the significant milestone of $10 billion in assets under management (AUM) in just 251 days since launch.

This rapid accumulation places ETHA as the third-fastest ETF globally to reach the $10 billion mark, significantly outpacing traditional ETFs like JPMorgan’s Nasdaq Equity Premium Income ETF (JEPQ), which took 444 days to achieve the same level.

The growth of ETHA coincides with a broader positive trend for U.S. spot Ether ETFs, which recently saw 14 consecutive days of net inflows totaling $4.4 billion. This sustained demand for Ether ETFs contrasts with recent net outflows observed for U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs.

The speed at which ETHA, alongside other crypto offerings like BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF (IBIT), has achieved substantial AUM underscores a notable shift in investor preferences towards digital asset exposure through regulated exchange-traded products.

Industry analysts suggest that Ethereum’s expanding utility within key blockchain sectors like decentralized finance (DeFi) and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), coupled with ongoing network improvements enhancing its efficiency and security, are potential drivers behind the strong demand captured by Ether ETFs like ETHA.
