BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) has surpassed $10 billion in assets under management (AUM).
This milestone was achieved in just over a year since its launch, marking it as the third-fastest ETF to reach this level of assets in U.S. history.
The remarkable growth is attributed to robust investor interest, with Ethereum ETFs collectively seeing monthly inflows averaging approximately $4.7 billion. ETHA itself has led the pack in both trading volume and growth rate.
BlackRock’s strategic filing for the Ethereum ETF in November 2023 and its selection of Coinbase Prime as custodian positioned the trust for significant uptake. Ethereum’s proof-of-stake infrastructure and the potential for staking rewards offer distinct advantages, including alignment with ESG considerations, differentiating it from Bitcoin ETFs.
The swift accumulation of assets in ETHA underscores increasing institutional adoption of Ethereum-focused investment products. This surge is fueled by sustained strong inflows and the ongoing expansion of the Ethereum ecosystem.
