Binance Removes Seed Tag from BONK, PEPE, EIGEN, ETHFI, and PENGU Tokens

Binance officially removed the Seed Tag designation from BONK, PEPE, EIGEN, ETHFI, and PENGU tokens today, signaling reduced perceived risk and acknowledging these projects’ enhanced operational maturity.

The Seed Tag functions as a cautionary label on Binance for newer or experimental tokens, alerting investors to higher volatility and uncertainty. Its removal indicates the exchange’s confidence in these tokens’ improved liquidity, stability, and developmental progress, reflecting their evolution beyond the nascent stage.

This update may broaden investor participation by attracting previously hesitant capital from traders and funds deterred by the elevated risk classification. It also underscores the growing market credibility of meme coins like BONK and PEPE alongside DeFi tokens such as EIGEN and ETHFI.

While the relabeling marks a step toward mainstream acceptance, Binance advises investors to maintain rigorous due diligence, including scrutiny of governance structures, tokenomics, and market conditions, when engaging with these assets.
