The Kingdom of Bhutan has executed a significant sale of Bitcoin assets, offloading approximately 512.84 BTC valued at $59.47 million over a four-day period.
Despite this sizeable transaction, the Bhutanese government maintains a substantial cryptocurrency reserve. Official holdings currently stand at 11,411 BTC, with an estimated market value of roughly $1.4 billion.
This sale appears to represent a strategic adjustment to the nation’s Bitcoin portfolio amidst evolving market dynamics. The move highlights Bhutan’s ongoing participation in the digital asset landscape while actively managing its significant treasury position.
