BDACS Launches Institution-Focused XRP Custody in South Korea

South Korean custody provider BDACS has introduced institutional-grade custody services for the digital asset XRP, specifically tailored for institutional investors operating within the country.

The service enables secure storage of XRP holdings and facilitates direct integration with leading domestic cryptocurrency exchanges Upbit, Coinone, and Korbit, allowing institutions seamless access to trading venues. Crucially, the offering is designed to ensure full compliance with South Korea’s regulatory requirements, providing a secure managed environment for institutional XRP holdings.

This launch follows BDACS’s prior collaboration with Ripple Labs to develop custodial solutions for both XRP and the stablecoin RLUSD, aligning these services with local regulatory standards. The move strengthens the partnership between BDACS and Ripple.

Market observers anticipate the introduction of regulated, institutional-grade custody for XRP in South Korea will enhance the legitimacy and adoption of digital assets within the nation’s tightly controlled market. Institutional clients can now utilize XRP within a compliant framework, potentially increasing their exposure to the asset on regulated trading platforms.
