ASIC Bans Financial Adviser Glenda Rogan for 10 Years Over AUD 14.8M Crypto Fraud

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has imposed a 10-year ban on former financial adviser Glenda Rogan after she misappropriated AUD 14.8 million from client portfolios.

Between March 2022 and June 2023, Rogan diverted client funds into a fraudulent cryptocurrency scheme while serving as an accountant and adviser within the Fincare group, operating in Sutherland and Wollongong.

ASIC’s enforcement action underscores its intensified focus on protecting investors and preserving financial sector integrity amid escalating concerns about cryptocurrency-related fraud.

The regulator emphasized that such misconduct erodes public trust and reaffirmed its commitment to pursuing severe sanctions against professionals who exploit client assets for unauthorized schemes.
