Digital asset investment manager 3iQ has introduced the 3iQ XRP ETF (XRPQ) on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The fund offers Canadian and global investors regulated, long-only exposure to the cryptocurrency XRP.
The ETF sources XRP from regulated exchanges and employs cold storage for security. A key feature is an initial six-month management fee waiver of 0%, followed by a standard 1.00% annual fee. Ripple supported the launch as an early investor, lending strategic credibility to the fund.
This move expands 3iQ’s suite of regulated cryptocurrency funds, which includes its Bitcoin and Ether funds, as well as a Solana staking ETF. The XRPQ ETF aims to provide a transparent, tax-efficient, and compliant vehicle for accessing XRP, particularly through Canadian registered accounts and to qualified international investors.
The launch underscores the institutionalization of cryptocurrencies and rising demand for regulated investment options. While promoting market liquidity and investor confidence, it operates within the context of ongoing global regulatory developments impacting digital assets.
